How was your LO over the weekend?

Mine was good in regards to the diapers - - it looks like we are on the "up-swing" of things with DS's diapers. We had 3 bloody and pretty green diapers on Saturday and only one of his diapers had a tiny bit of blood in it yesterday. His coloring is also getting more fluorescent green and/or yellow instead of the darker green....yay!!! I am awaiting a call back from Children's Hospital today to schedule A for his gastroentologist appt...which was suggested by his pediatrician to make sure nothing more is going on besides the allergy.

I am hoping that things continue to get better with him - it will be 2 actual weeks come this Tuesday since I've been dairy-free....so I am hopeful!

  1. Saturday was my first day dairy free. DS had not been sleeping hardly at all at night - he fussed and grunted all night. Saturday and last night he slept in between each feeding. He would eat and go right back to sleep. I don't know if the dairy free had anything to do with it, but I hope it means he isn't in pain.

  2. I think we are on the "up-swing" too! He still has mucous-y diapers but they aren't as orange/acidic looking or as often. He fussed and screamed much less over the weekend. He also gave us his longest stretch of sleep yet ... 5 hours! It was fantastic!

We're waiting on test results from a stool sample. I think they were checking for infection, just in case.

Hope everyone else is headed in a positive direction too!

  3. We had an iffy weekend. The diapers were seeming to be spaced out more and we were hoping for improvement, but we had a bloody diaper this morning. We found the sausage I ate on Friday had soy in it, so I'm hoping that was it. If it doesn't start to clear up by next monday we have to go to a GI specialist

  4. Our weekend was Ok. I ate a low-fat muffin from Tim Horton's - bad idea! I read online most of their low-fat foods are dairy free; well, the manager was unwilling to read the label and I took a risk. Friday night was a bit rough (I initially attributed it to the first night in the crib) and today was a bit rough for my sitter b/c the pumped milk from Friday was given to her today. Ooops! Thankfully it doesn't bother her too much, just some fussiness, gas, and disrupted sleep. And it leaves her system rather quickly.

  5. DD was ok this weekend, but I had a houseguest that I had to try to avoid killing because she couldn't understand that I can't have even a
"little bit" because it affects DD...ugh!
