What are some of your go-to foods?

I have been having such a hard time eating. I used to just grab anything and go, like chips or grab a cookie passing the pantry or cook up some mac-n-cheese for lunch.

Now I'll eat a banana or some strawberries instead. I've also been eating a lot of brown rice and veggies.

I get hunger pangs every night when I wake up to feed the little guy - but I don't want to put the effort in to figure out what I can eat. The other night before bed I was hungry and was going to make some microwave popcorn - - but nope, no-can-do since it contains milk. Who knew?

One thing that's good about this journey is I think I'll be in those pre-pg jeans sooner than I thought!

  1. microwave popcorn has milk?? We pop directly from the kernel on the stove so DH popped a huge batch for me to munch on. I also have graham crackers for my night feedings since they take the edge of the hunger. I used to eat granola bars, but they have milk in them :-(
I keep thinking at least this will help me lose weight!

  3. This week...
-Lenders frozel bagels with natural peanut butter
    -Sun Chips
    -Rold Gold pretzels
    -Lays plain potato chips
    -Chicken, rice, veggies
    -Cheerios and rice milk
-Bisquick Health Smart mix is dairy and soy free so we've made pancakes with that and rice milk
-Caffeine free Dunkin Donuts coffee with rice milk
-Wheat wraps that are soy free with turkey burger, lettuce, tomato (although I worry about how acidic tomatoes are)

Honestly, rice milk isn't as bad as soy milk.

  5. I thought this too (that I would lose weight), but actually I've stayed the same and even gained a few. Some of my go-to foods are Luna Sunrise bars, Kashi TLC bars (some have milk so read the label), Bagels (most are dairy-free), Low-fat Oreos for the cookie fanatics, Pop-tarts (yes, I feel 10 again) - most of them are dairy free, bananas are also a daily staple of mine, PB&J, Sara Lee lunch meat, most breads, Twizzlers and Starburst for my sweet tooth, Giaradelli (sp?) semi-sweet chocolate chips (yes, I eat them by the handful), Duncan Hines cake mixes*...geez, now I see why I haven't lost weight since eliminating dairy. LOL. If I think of more I'll post another comment. I found this very difficult at first, but then my sister gave me plenty of suggestions b/c she and my niece are allergic to dairy and soy respectively.

*Disclaimer: the above are dairy free (well some flavors of what I posted above), I cannot guarantee they are soy free b/c soy is not my issue.
